A young woman was stabbed in the food court at Mic Mac Mall last night. A verbal dispute between 2 teenage girls broke out around 8:00PM which escalated into a stabbing. The 17 year old girl who was stabbed went to hospital and a 14 year old girl was arrested.


The case of a taxi driver charged with sexual assault returned to court in Halifax yesterday. 46 year old Seyed Mirsaeid-Ghazi was arrested in October 2015. Police say he picked up a 21 year old female passenger and touched her in a sexual manner without her consent. His case returns to court on March 30th.


A $3.8 million project that will double the space for surgeries at the hospital in Windsor is on the way! However starting in August it will force the existing operating room to close down for up to 4 months. The majority of patients scheduled for surgeries are expected to be accommodated at the Dartmouth General Hospital.
