Lenore Zann will seek the federal Liberal nomination in Cumberland-Colchester. She’s been the MLA for Truro-Bible Hill & Truro-Bible Hill-Millbrook-Salmon River for a decade. She made the announcement yesterday at a celebration to mark her 10 year anniversary.

Another minke whale has washed up on the shores of Nova Scotia, this time along the Shubenacadie River. The Marine Animal Response Society says it’s unclear how the whale died at this point. It was just last week that another minke whale was found on Queensland Beach in Hubbards.

A park in Dartmouth just got more fun! Aberdeen Court Park now features the city’s first outdoor toy chest. It’s a container filled with outdoor play items like bowling pins, hula hoops, skippers and Frisbees. It will be open year round for anyone to access.
