A 54 year old man has died after falling from a building in Dartmouth. Officers were called to the Dartmouth Oceanview on King Street around 9:30 Monday night. Police say the death is not suspicious and are still investigating.


Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is expected to announce today that the federal government is buying 2 more Arctic patrol ships from Irving Shipbuilding. The ships will be built for the Canadian Coast Guard. The government says the intention is to purchase these 2 ships before the other ships are completed to prevent layoffs.


The Downtown Halifax Business Commission has confirmed that Argyle Street in downtown Halifax will be closed to vehicles every weekend this summer. The goal was to always make the street easy to close for specific events or on the weekends. Argyle Street will become pedestrian-only between Prince & Blowers streets on Fridays at 5PM until Mondays at 6AM from June 28th to September 29th.
