GARTH BROOKS has written his autobiography, and like everything he does, it’s a big deal.
It’s divided into five separate multi-media packages that will be released at different times. Each will include a hardcover book, CDs, photos, tons of behind-the-scenes stuff . . . AND each one will have it’s own two-and-a-half hour documentary. The first package will be in stores November 14th for $39.98.
Nobody rolls into Nashville and becomes a star overnight. We all know that. CHRIS JANSON was so broke when he moved to Nashville that he slept in the back seat of his car for the first three weeks.
He and his Chevy Monte Carlo pulled into Music City back in 2005. He had a bunch of CDs filled with music that he’d recorded, but as you’d expect, nobody cared. Quote, “I would knock on doors and ask people if I could get onstage and play, and nobody would let me onstage. I got a [traffic] boot on my car within the first hour, so I just slept in the backseat.” He actually slept in the car for the first three weeks.
He finally got a job performing at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, and he actually shared an apartment with Tyler Far and says he ate lots of KD and the kids meal at Cracker Barrel. Fortunately, it all worked out, because he had no a B-plan.
AND Reba McEntire is getting into the boot business. The Country Music Hall-of-Famer — and former cowgirl — is partnering with Justin Boot Company to create her own line of footwear. “Justin Boots have been a staple in my closet since my barrel racing years in Oklahoma,” Reba says. This collection is for all those strong, spirited women, who have followed my journey throughout the years. ”REBA by Justin will feature classic western boots, booties, and casual shoes, and will be available at retailers nationwide in time for the holidays this year. Merry Christmas!!!
