Could There Be More Halifax Common Concerts?

Thousands of concert goers are expected to show up on the Halifax Common for Canada Day!

They’ll be there to see some guy named dead rat, or dead bug dead squirrel… what’s his name again?

Actually, this weekend, Deadmau5 will showcase his CUBE 2.1, which he calls “the world’s most transformative DJ stand.” Whatever that is! HA! The free event is expected to attract as many as 25,000 people to the Common concert site.

The last concert the commons saw was “Country Rocks” August 6th & 7th, 2010, featuring Johnny Reid and Alan Jackson. Before that in the same years we had the Black Eyed Seas, Kiss in 2009, Paul McCartney a couple of weeks earlier. I was lucky enough to be at McCartney and KISS, wat memories! Keith Urban was there in 2008 and the Stones back in 2006 another memorable night and legendary show!

Hopefully this is the start of bringing more concerts back to the Common!
