Canada Medals Up Again Today!

Kaitlyn Lawes and John Morris made history with a gold medal in mixed doubles curling today!

Also, Alex Gough had an historic night at the Olympic Sliding Centre, winning Canada’s first ever Olympic medal in luge.

Four years after her heart-breaking fourth place finish at Sochi 2014, Gough captured bronze in the women’s singles event.

Kim Boutin has won her first Olympic medal, capturing the bronze in short track speed skating’s 500m at PyeongChang 2018.

Congrats to Halifax’s Jill Saulnier who scored her first Olympic goal early at 5 am this morning!

Her thoughts on bring the first Nova Scotian to score a goal in Olympic women’s hockey: “That was a pretty special moment. I know the girls were jumping up and down on the bench and to have my mom in the stands was pretty exciting, too.” #nsproud

Team Canada beat Finland 4-1 earlier today and Canada’s women’s team is perfect so far playing the US tomorrow night.

All the best to Hockey Canada women’s Olympic team forwards Jill Saulnier from Halifax and Blayre Turnbull of Stellarton plus assistant coach Troy Ryan from Spryfield!

We’re all cheering you on from back home! #nsproud
