A country music fan is a FAN and will go to the end of the road to support their favourite artist and don’t we know it. Look at the Shania fiasco with Trump yesterday and now all is well with her big CCMA announcement for Hamilton. Today we find out Jake Owen, especially, is very grateful for that kind of loyalty and he’s excited you’re still paying attention. He changed record labels, which slowed things down . . . and it’s why we haven’t been hearing a lot from him. Fortunately, his fans never left. This all came about at a private screening of his “I Was Jack (You Were Diane)” video.
If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s epic. Jake has a cameo as a waiter, but the stars are JAKE ETHERIDGE, who played Sean on “Nashville” . . . and MACKENZIE PORTER whom you may know as Marcy Warton on the Netflix show “Travelers”.
Country music hopeful Caleb Lee Hutchinson stepped onto the American Idol stage on Sunday night looking like a downright superstar. With a banjo in his hand and a brand new look after a much-talked-about 70-pound weight loss, Hutchinson put his Hutchpuppies (his fanbase) into an all-out frenzy with his performance of “Midnight Train to Memphis” by the Steeldrivers. Yet, judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan seemed a tad underwhelmed by the performance, but I’m not surprised he made it to the top 10, are you?
A 22-year-old man who’s accused of stalking Taylor Swift and multiple other crimes was arrested inside her New York townhouse on Friday after breaking in. Police found Roger Alvarado asleep in the superstar’s home in the Tribeca neighborhood when they responded to reports of a break-in. Alvarado, who lives in Homestead, Fla., was arrested and charged with stalking, burglary, criminal mischief and trespassing. Swift was not at home during the incident. Alvarado was previously arrested at the same address on Feb. 13 after breaking the front door with a shovel.
